TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Veteran Physical Education Teacher - Hello and welcome EVERYONE! I've been a passionate Physical Education teacher for 16 years and would love to finally share my successful, developmentally appropriate activities and unit plans with all of you. Adjunct Professor (Movement Sciences Department) - In addition to being an elementary PE teacher, I'm also an Adjunct Professor at Springfield College, MA. Supervisor of PE student teachers - For 15 years, I have enjoyed working with future Physical Education teachers to help shape them into becoming passionate, successful educators.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My teaching style varies based on the learners within my specific classrooms and the learning content. One of the best compliments I receive often is from subs that leave notes saying how amazed they were by how well-run and organized my classes are. So many subs often don't want to sub for PE due to the "chaos" but I keep a tight, consistent structure for my classes with safe, but FUN activities.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Grinspoon Teacher of the Year Award in MA Published Dissertation on Effective Teacher Leader Skills in the 21st Century Published Thesis on Characteristics of an Effective Physical Education Supervisor. Presenter at PE & Health state conferences

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

Doctorate in Educational Leadership: Walden University, 2013 Master's Degree In Advanced PE Pedagogy: Springfield College, 2009 Bachelor's Degree in Sport and Movement Sciences: Springfield College, 2007

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I have over 15 years of educational research and teaching experience. I enjoy being able to share this knowledge and experience with fellow educators who are not only passionate about what they do but also want to give their best to effectively educate their students. I hope I can save everyone time from their busy lives by providing developmentally appropriate activities, unit plans, sub plans, etc. that have been thoroughly tested over the years! Teaching is not a cake walk - we are all in this together!!
