This will be my 20th year in education. I have been a classroom teacher for grades 1, 2, 3, and 5. I also had the wonderful experience of being a k-2 Early Intervention Program teacher. After receiving my doctorate, I taught at the college level in teacher education for 3 years. I am now the Instructional Coach at a fantastic primary school, serving students in grades k-2.
I am a constructivist. I believe students learn best through engaging activities that challenge their thinking and allow them to interact with other students and their teacher. I also feel the successful integration and use of technology is an important part of early learning.
