I'm a preservice teacher and tutor. I've taught all grades K-12, but specialize in upper elementary and middle school! I've been tutoring for over 3 years with over 600 completed tutoring sessions. I specialize in areas of English and Writing and work with students to improve both their skills and confidence.

As a teacher, I hold high expectations for all of my students as I believe all students have the potential to succeed. However, I will never make assumptions about my students' current academic levels. I emphasize the importance of meeting my students where they currently are and working together toward that growth. I create skill-based lessons modeled around students' interests to increase engagement and comprehension. SEL is also incredibly important to me, so many of my lessons help foster mental health awareness. Many of my lessons are collaborative, which means students will be actively involved in the learning process.

I am a 4th-year student at Vanderbilt University double majoring in Secondary Education and English. I'll be getting my M.Ed at Vanderbilt University in Reading Education.
