By Old School Works "Old School" experience will work for you. Products that are proven and you will utilize for years. I have taught K to 8, both regular and Special Education. I taught in Hartford Connecticut for 30 years, it is one of the poorest cities in the nation. This gave me a unique experience. A variety of settings kept life interesting. I have done resource, self contained, inclusion, co- teaching, school intervention specialist and regular ed. Due to budgets and student needs, I have always had to design and implement teacher made materials in my classroom. There is great satisfaction in seeing these materials help students learn. I also loved sharing with other teachers. Collaboration is essential, teaching can be a lonely profession. It is now exciting to be able to publish these materials on TPT for others to continue to use.
Differentiate Instruction to Teach Every Child with the "Old School" advantage and experience. Every level of student should have the opportunity to think, learn and, most importantly, participate in lessons with their peers. Modifications, accommodations and differentiated instruction are part of my products and philosophy. I use minimal clip art in most products. The focus is on the material, and thus broadens use to include older, below grade level students who may be included in your classroom or groups. I strive to produce products that you will use year after year in your classroom.
We are all working to do out best. We are all in different educational settings. We all have different resources. We all have different populations. We all have varying degrees of support for our classrooms. Doing our best with what we have, where we are, makes as all award winning educators.
