Cognitive Education: the materials I use when teaching use music cognition and psychology but are applied to the approprate age level. I place an emphasis on music theory and music literacy skills which are embeded in to most lessons. The outcome is students understand more and are confused less. This is particularly helpful with abstract concepts like harmony and rhythmic subdivision. These essential toics become very accessable to students from many different backgrounds.

I am in charge of creating audition material for a section the county's Performing and Visual Arts program. I have had many composition and arranging awards including, Delaware Valley Philharmonic Orchestra. Participant in Marvin Hamlish master class. The Ohio State University "Music Ben Franklin Heard" national museum exibit.

Compositions and Arrangements are compiled on Finale 2009-2012 and are in PDF format. Audio MP3 files are either programed from MIDI data throught Kontakt player or sequenced through a Roland Fantom G8 and are mastered using a macbook pro using Logic Pro 8. SMART notebook files are made using SMART notebook 10 and are designed to be printed on a black and white printer. All other material including PDF's are created from cross platform use and should open with any PDF reader such as ADOBE.
