TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been a teacher for eight years now. In my time, I have worked in virtually every type of school from wealthy suburban to inner city. I found that the resources out there just weren't what my kids needed to truly learn and connect their learning to the real world that we live in. As such was the case, I began creating my own resources. I found creating my own resources allowed for a more engaged learning experience for my students and a more satisfying teaching experience for me.

MY TEACHING STYLE

As I have my Master's in Arts Integrated Curriculum, I strive to incorporate a variety of teaching styles in my day-to-day instruction. We may write songs to help us remember our rules of dividing fractions or perform plays about the difference between plant and animal cells. I find that providing a wide variety of opportunities for students to show what they have learned provides them with a sense of accomplishment.
