1 year as kindergarten in New Jersey and currently 10 years as a 4th grade teacher in Tennessee. I have gone through many changes such as starting as a self contained class in which I taught ALL subjects, then team taught as a math/science teacher, and for 3 years-(and currently) teaching just math to 3 groups of 4th graders as they rotate classes. I absolutely love math, math games especially in order to engage and get kids to LOVE math. If you can show them that learning is FUN, then they will want to learn FROM YOU.
Fun, modern, upbeat and positive! Fun ways of teaching to keep kids interested. Bold NEON colors with black and white. Games to start or end class- differentiated games so you can group kids and boost their confidence.

HI there! I went to The College of New Jersey (state school) at first as a Math Major because I was just so undecided on what to do with my life at 18 years old. I always loved math and it came easy to me, but I also loved art and all things creative. I soon switched to an Art Education Major so that I could teach and share that with students. As I started to get into working in the classroom for my college courses and teaching, I realized I LOVED being with students and watching them learn. That was the moment, I rushed to the counselor office and switched to Elementary Education. I graduated with a bachelor's of Science and a minor in Art. I decided to go back and get my Master's of Math Curriculum and Instruction the year before my son was born in 2016. I loved all the fun ways that I was challenged to learn new strategies and the use of technology and use a lot of that in my classroom today. Thank you for reading about me!
I love with my husband who is also a teacher, and is a 7th grade math teacher in the same district. He got his Master's in math education also after he got out of the ARMY. We moved to Tennessee in 2010 from NJ because of the ARMY but have fallen in love with the state and the area of Clarksville which is outside of Nashville.
