My name is Lisa Erwin. I have been a licensed Speech Language Pathologist since 1992. I am currently employed as a full-time school-based SLP but also work part time as a pediatric home health provider. I've worked with adults and children throughout my 30+ years as an SLP. I previously taught special education on a K-5 campus and co-taught in an inclusion classroom. I've also taught in an early childhood classroom. I provide supervision to graduate students and SLP-Assistants. ***I author the blog myspeechtools.com***
I believe every minute with a child, student or client should be purposeful and positive. My instruction is intended to be meaningful, systematic, goal directed, data driven and client centered. I create curriculum inspired resources and collaborate with classroom teachers to help my speech students succeed in the general education curriculum.

I am passionate about being a pediatric speech language pathologist. I enjoy building relationships with students and opening the door to communication. Sharing my love of picture books with students, helping them develop the skills needed to make and keep friends, building self-confidence, helping them overcome obstacles, and encouraging them to set and achieve educational and personal goals are part of my everyday joys.
