I've worked as a preschool teacher for more than 12 years in an international school where we are keen on the development of the unique child. I have 11 years as a preschool teacher and somewhere between that I did 1 year as a first grade teacher. My experience is ongoing and I'm loving it. It has been a wonderful experience nurturing young minds and foster growth in areas of development to enable them become lifelong learners.
I believe that all children are unique and they learn and develop differently. I can say my approach is play based but I also follow a teacher-directed approach and through structured planning, following a thematic approach with the IPC/IEYC (International Primary/Early Years Curriculum) as well as the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework. This enables me to reach goals to be attained at the end of the school year while making learning fun and engaging.

I have a degree in History and strategic studies from the University Of Lagos (Nigeria) after which I got a postgraduate certificate in Education from the University of Sunderland UK.
Teaching young children is a passion as it is rewarding seeing them grow and become independent in a variety of areas. Creating worksheets became a need as this enabled me support the children based on their abilities. I am a nursery rhyme composer too.
