I have been in Education for 28 years. My primary focus has been Special Education. I have taught children with Multiple Disabilities in Grades Kindergarten to Fifth grade. I was an Elementary Principal for 11 years and then after the birth of my daughter I decided to return to teaching. I have been teaching Special Needs Prek for 10 years and I love it! My areas of expertise include Autism Spectrum Disorder, Special Needs Prek, Social and Communication Delays, and Fine and Gross Motor Delays. I also teach English remotely for a school in Pakistan. This has broadened my world view significantly and I have also gained a lot of experience with remote teaching. I have also had the opportunity to work one on one with a student in Pakistan with special needs. Even with only remote tutoring he has made significant progress.

I have an eclectic teaching style. I change my teaching style to meet the needs of my students. I have started calling this "Intuitive Teaching." I try to meet the needs of each child on a daily basis. It is my belief that the children must feel loved and safe in my classroom. I work collaboratively with my Instructional Assistant to meet this goal. I have done a lot of personal professional development in the area of Distance Learning in Prek. I am hoping to share this knowledge and materials with other Prek, Kindergarten and Special Education teachers.
