I taught at a Head Start program with students from ages 3-5 for 9 years. I have been teacher at a public school for 3 years where I have taught grades K-2.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I am a whole learning teacher who believes students need to be exposed to many different ways of learning content until they feel comfortable. I am also a HUGE believer in social emotional development and that if a student does not feel welcome, comfortable or important, they will not learn to their full potential.

Hi, I’m Maria! I am a 2nd grade bilingual teacher in Queens, New York. I am also a wife and mother to two beautiful little girls. Being a mom and teacher in the big city is not easy but I wouldn’t trade this adventure in for anything else in the world!
