Welcome! Thanks for visiting! My name is Emma Eiden and I am a licensed English as a Second Language and Early Childhood Educator originally from Wausau, Wisconsin. For the 2019-2020 school year, I worked as a Foreign English Teacher with the Ministry of Education in Puli Township, Nantou, Taiwan. It was an amazing experience that helped me grow as a culturally-responsive educator. Before that, I worked at a variety of different schools in a variety of different roles in the Milwaukee Public School district as well as a small Catholic Elementary/Junior High on Milwaukee's upper east side. I am currently working as an ESOL teacher with the Oshkosh School District.
Inquiry. Project-Based. Facilitator. Student-driven. Authentic. Discussion-Forward. I believe in allowing students to discuss openly with each other to gain valuable communication skills as well as building positive relationships along the way. When students are the focus, learning is fun and effective!
Yet to be added
I have licenses in English as a Second Language K-12 as well as Early Childhood Education. I graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with minors in Music Theory, ESL, and Behavioral Sociology.
Teaching is a great passion of mine but when I am not in the classroom, I enjoy singing and playing my violin (as I have for the last 16 years). I love to explore things around where I am living as well as experiment with new recipes in the kitchen. I prepare myself every year for holiday baking and I love every minute of it!
