TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching for over 10 years. I am currently a GATE teacher for a magnet program for 4th, 5th, and 6th graders. I have taught 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grades both regular ed (in a low income area) and in GATE. I tend to get bored easily and change things around often.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I like to try new things to see what works for me. I do like to have fun and hope that my students enjoy learning as well. I like to do centers in the primary grades, but I don't currently use them in my 6th grade GATE class. I am working on developing some learning stations, so that students who need more to do can have additional opportunities.

I live a wonderful life in sunny southern California. I have lots of great friends. I am married and have a son who recently turned two. I am also expecting our second child, a baby girl, January 2014.
