This is my second year teaching high school agriculture.. My passion is agriculture and spreading agriculture awareness, I believe this is reflected in my lessons and worksheets. In addition to my two years teaching I grew up on a production turkey farm, raised show goats from the time I was in 8th grade until the present, and have owned horses my whole life. I also have completed a degree in Agriculture education with a minor in animal science. During my time in college I worked on for professors, in various food service settings, and on a hog farm. Because of how I was raised and my unique college experience I am able to apply all knowledge learned in the classroom and from experience when creating lessons.
I like to use a mixture of lecture over the content, then labs and other self guided activities that require students to think for themselves and apply the information. Some of my worksheets like the colors map are designed to be given after instruction where students are encouraged to take their own notes. Others may be designed for students to do the research and discover information in a fully self guided manor (which I like to do on days that FFA takes me out of the classroom)
