Mrs Youngblood's Tool Chest

I have been teaching in the public school system for 22 years. I began teaching as the Reading EIP teacher, but later entered my own 3rd grade homeroom. Now, I'm the Instructional Coach for ELA and Social Studies in grades 3-5.

I use various forms of instruction. I hold alot of discussions in class between the students and myself as a form of informal instruction. I plan many cooperative learning activities and give my students choices when asking them to complete assignments. Although I do have blocks of direct instruction, much of my time is used as a facilitator in student learning.

I currently hold an Ed.S degree in Early Childhood Curriculum and Instruction. I have a coaching endorsement, reading endorsement, and a gifted endorsement.

In my "off" time, I enjoy spending time with my husband of 21 years and my 2 wonderful children. Maggie is 15 and Benjamin is 18.
