TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am in my 10th year of teaching. I currently teach 10th grade world history and 11th grade US history, but have taught 7th grade world history, 8th grade US history, as well as some government and economics.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I require my students to explain "Why?" They are expected to write, often. I want history to be more than just memorization of facts and dates, I want my students to learn the stories of people. I want my students to experience history when they can. I like to have my students up and moving around. They often work in pairs or cooperative groups.
