I have been teaching music education since January of 2005
I am a creative teacher who is driven by the interests of the students. I teach some Kodaly and a little bit of Orff, but I am driven by enthusiasm, creativity, engagement and meeting the students where they are. I create most of my curriculum.
I have been honored to present my CHAMPS Rap inspired by Randy Sprick's classroom management philosophy. I have been honored to record a video title "Baby Got Snacks" for the 21st Century After School Program for the Arts for USD 259. I have been honored to have my predominantly African American Choir perform for a country club in Wichita, KS. I have been honored to have the 21st Century A.R.T.S. program perform an arrangement of the song "Turn Down For What" titled "Whole Foods From Scratch" for the Whole Foods Market.
