I taught third grade for seven years and now serve as an induction mentor to new teachers and curricular/instructional support person for elementary schools in my district. I enjoy developing quality resources for the classroom, and I am happy to share them with you!
My teaching style is primarily a workshop model, alternating between mini-lessons and skill application. I also work to incorporate kinesthetics, mnemonic devices, games, anchor charts, and interactive notebook activities to increase engagement, knowledge/skill acquisition, and content retention. I truly believe that students learn best when learning experiences are rigorous, intentional, and FUN! I love integrating multiple disciplines into my instruction whenever possible in order to maximize my time with students!
