I currently teach in a Primary School on Long Island, NY. I have been teaching ENL (English as a New Language) for 13 years. I have been teaching on-line since 2012 and teaching English as Second Language since 2009. I am passionate about education, languages, and culture.
Teaching is part of who I am. I love sharing what I know and how I learned it. Learning a second and third (or forth - why not?) can be hard at times and I try to make learning as interactive, engaging and relevant as much as possible. I love hearing my students voice and encourage them to participate em group discussions. Is there any better way of learning a language than communicating and actively practicing it?
I was the teacher of the month on my first year working as a Pre-K teacher in NY; school district teacher of the year on my second year as a Pre-K teacher in NY; and earned my Master's degree receiving the Dean's award for Outstanding Academic Achievement.
I earned my Bachelors Degree in Education in 2009 from UNISUL, Brazil and earned my Masters Degree in TESOL from Adelphi University, NY.
