3rd grade, 6th grade, physical education, speech and drama.

Although I retired in May 2015, I always had a structured classroom. Sometimes we played games to make learning fun! Whenever we could move around during an activity, we did. Adding movement, music, graphics or hands on activities encouraged all learners. It was always a busy classroom!

Now that I am retired, I go back to my school to volunteer in my granddaughter's classroom!

I received my Bachelor of Science in Physical Education in 1988. I received my Elementary Endorsement in 1993. In 1997, I received my Master's in Education (Diverse Learner) from the University of Phoenix.

Since I was seven years old, I wanted to be a mommy and a teacher. I am married to a retired Army officer and we have three boys: one gifted, one with high functioning autism and one with high anxiety. I have learned so much from my three amazing boys! Dealing with my own struggles in learning and with my sons made me a much better teacher than I would have been without these experiences. My supportive husband has made me a better person, mom, and teacher. I retired in May 2015 and can now spend time with my two grand daughters. I will continue teaching as they are now my students!
