After going back to school to pursue education, I received my teaching certificate from Missouri Baptist University. Since then, I have taught 3rd, 4th and 5th grade.
I have learned through my own academic career that a good teacher can make or break a child's desire to learn and pursue his or her own education. Strong teachers will go the extra mile every single time, for every student, no matter how resistant. It is usually the resistant children that need the care the most. I firmly believe all children are capable of learning. However, they all learn in a variety of ways. Therefore, I have found that it is essential imperative for me to get to know all of my students so I can provide each of them with several opportunities to succeed.

I graduated undergrad from Saint Louis University with a degree in Political Science and Communication and a certificate in Political Journalism. After working in Public Relations for six years, I decided to go back to school to pursue my passion for education. I received my teaching certificate in early childhood and elementary education from Missouri Baptist University and have since taught 3rd, 4th and 5th grade.
I now work part-time subbing, while staying home with my daughter and awaiting the arrival of baby #2!
