I have been an educator for nearly two decades and am currently teaching English Language Arts and Math to 1st and 3rd graders.
I often look to the Multiple Intelligences when planning my lessons for my class. Even though the group is small in number, they are huge in personality and energy. It also takes many different techniques to teach a single concept so all students and understand and apply the concept.
UCLA Early Childhood Education Honors
I received my bachelor's in music education in 2002 and quickly realized there were no jobs available in my area. I soon turned to early childhood education after having my first child and sought out quality schools for her. I received my certification in both Early Childhood Education and Administration from UCLA with honors. I still incorporate a lot of music in my classroom because it is such an important aspect of expression.
I'm a busy mom of two wonderful girls ages 12 and 18 and often make things to supplement their lessons. Crafts are a passion of mine and you'll frequently find me on Pinterest at www.pinterest.com/virtuallyginab where I pin things about early childhood, kindergarten, graphic design, green living, DIY, crochet, and soap making. Come find me!
