TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I taught in Elementary School for 8 years, 2 in Kindergarten and 6 in First Grade. I've currently taken a break to raise my sweet baby boy!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I've taught all subjects with my favorite being reading and have taught students at all levels. My teaching style is definitely student centered, and I try to do a lot of hands-on learning.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Being able to make students who hate school begin to love it...also having previous students give me hugs and telling me that I'm their favorite teacher. These things bring me so much joy and make it all worth it!!

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I attended Lamar University for both my undergrad and graduate degrees. I have a Bachelors in EC-6 Education and a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

My husband and I just welcomed our rainbow baby into the world February 2022. He is our world!! I also have 2 cats, Chloe and Alice, who I love with all my heart (they were my babies before my son was born). I love teaching, learning new things, and spending time with my family.
