After student teaching, I became a reading interventionist, so I became quite skilled in assisting struggling readers with their needs. I now hold a position in a small school, and teach all three middle school grades (6, 7, 8). As such, most of my units are designed to accommodate multiple grade levels. So if you teach in middle school, you are in the right place!
My lessons are based on Howard Gardner's multiple intelligences, and my units are based on Bloom's Taxonomy of Learning. The goal is to create increasingly challenging lessons over the course of time while ensuring the lessons stimulate a student's best method of learning. I also believe passionately in making content that is relatable and personal to the students. I believe this heightens engagement significantly, and by extension eliminates many classroom management issues.
Cum Laude Graduate
