Mr Music

I currently teach K-5 music in the Twin Ciites of Minnesota. My main teaching experience is in general music, which has included guitars, drumming, keyboard, recorder ensembles and choir in grades K-8. My classrooms have included a number of students with various special needs as well as non-english speaking students.

I follow the philosophies of Carl Orff and Dewey Finn. Students should experience music in a variety of ways and follow multiple pathways to learning, so my classes include singing, listening, creating, improvising, movement, performance and the other ways we all work, as teachers of music, to reach students.

I give myself a lot of platitudes.
