I currently teach Grade K-4 general music, instrumental music, and choral music in Edgewater Park, NJ. I am a second-year teacher!
Let's just say... I am commonly told that I have more energy than my students! If I am not excited to teach it, my students will not be excited to learn it. My music teaching also connects musical concepts to common core curriculum. My job becomes so much more fulfilling when my students leave my classroom with not only a stronger understanding of music but also a stronger understanding of what may be challenging them back in their classroom.
I graduated from Rowan University with 2 University Medallions: 1. The W. Clarke Pfleeger Medallion Award (for outstanding musical achievement and academic performance) 2. The Lawson J. Brown Senior Scholarship Award (for a 2019 graduate with a 4.0 GPA and the highest amount of college credits)
I graduated in May 2019 from Rowan University in Glassboro, NJ. I received a Bachelor of Music in Music Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Subject Matter Teaching, culminating my 4 years of college with a 4.0 GPA.
