13 Years Teaching Social Studies to 7-12 Grade Students!
In my social studies classroom, I am passionate about fostering a dynamic and student-centered learning environment. Through a teaching style that places great importance on choice-based assignments, technology, argumentation, discourse, and debate, I aim to empower my students to take charge of their education and become critical thinkers. I believe that when students are given the freedom to explore topics that resonate with them, they are more engaged, curious, and driven to learn. Technology plays a central role in our classroom, with digital tools and resources enhancing our research, collaboration, and presentation skills. Moreover, I'm committed to helping my students develop their abilities in argumentation, discourse, and debate because I believe these skills are essential for navigating the complexities of our world and becoming active, informed citizens. In our class, we create an environment where every voice is valued and where students learn to communicate, question, and defend their perspectives, equipping them for a lifetime of meaningful civic engagement.
