TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have a Masters in Middle School Education and I am currently working on my reading specialist certification. I have taught in both public and private schools for 7 years.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My teaching style is to make learning fun while also being effective. I live by the motto "If you can't reach them, you can't teach them," so I try to insert fun and interesting topics into lessons to not only enhance interest but learning.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

My students consistently win numerous Language Arts Department (LAD) Fair awards, and we compete against every school in southwest Missouri who enters, regardless of size. Last year, my 7th and 8th grade students won more awards than any other school despite the fact that we were one of the smallest schools.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I graduated with honors from Missouri State University and received my masters degree from Drury University. I am also Google Certified.
