My teaching style is student-focused with a growth mindset. The student should be met where they are at and worked with to grow instead of shame them because they don't know something. You cannot learn new information without attaching it to something you already know. That means, it is also on the teacher to know what the student knows and doesn't know so you know how to ground your new information in a way that sticks.
