Montessori-Inspired Mom

I have over a decade of experience in working with children, including: academic tutoring, classroom teaching assistance, Montessori coaching, leading a weekly virtual circle time, providing personal care for children with disabilities, and implementing ABA therapy.

My teaching style, as well as my parenting, is deeply informed by the Montessori philosophy. I believe that children are naturally curious, love learning, and crave independence. They desire to be contributing members of their households and communities, and their little minds require opportunities for independence. It is my aim to foster these values in my own children and provide firm - yet gentle - boundaries when needed.

Associate of Arts and Science in General Studies from Lord Fairfax Community College Bachelor of Science in Human Services with a minor in ASL from Liberty University Master of Nonprofit Leadership Studies from University of Lynchburg, VA

I have a Career Studies Certificate in Americal Sign Language and have completed courses through the National Institute for Learning Development related to working with children with Down Syndrome. I am a lifelong learner and have a passion for equal access to education for all!
