By Monsieur Sargent Knows Best Bonjour les amis! Je m'appelle Monsieur Sargent! I have been a teacher my whole life! I started coaching sports when I was 14 years old, which inspired me to continue working in the field of education. I then gained a position as an Early Childcare Professional for 9 years, and have now had ten years of experience teaching French Immersion in the classroom. Below is just a mini resume of my educational experience! - 10 years French Immersion teaching experience in the classroom. - Attended collège Universitaire du St. Boniface (Manitoba) & Université Laval (Québec) to complete my degree in French Studies. - K-12 French Immersion student - 9 years experience as a Childcare Professional. - 3 years experience as a volleyball and badminton coach. - 2 years as a Numeracy & Literacy Intervention Coordinator. - Currently a grade 3/4 multiage French Immersion teacher.
My teaching style is very reflective of the fact that I HATE being bored! I have found that if you can get your students to love coming to school, the rest is easy! When planning for my students, I always take their needs and interests into consideration so that I can develop creative lesson plans that will capture their attention! Many of my lesson plans are non paper products, and are often presented as games or activities in the classroom. I love to get my students engaged through cooperative games, physical activity, and interactive assignments!
