I have 4 years teaching experience in Elementary Special Education. This experience is made up of time served as a special education resource teacher (teaching only math, language arts and science) and time spent as a special education classroom teacher in a special education Co-Op. I have taught students ranging from learning disabled to state school eligible students.
I am an organized teacher who incorporates Whole Brain Teaching and Kagan strategies into my classroom. My classroom is ran with high expectations for both the adults and students in my room. Our classroom rules are all based on the 5 Whole Brain rules.
I have been nominated for teacher of the year for 2 years. I have received many educational grants for my school and classroom.
I have my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and my Master's in Educational Administration at the Elementary, Secondary and Special Education Director level. I am certified in the areas of Early Childhood Education (Birth-3rd Grade), Elementary Education (K-6th grade), Middle School Language Arts (5th-9th Grade) and Special Education (Cross Cat. K-12th grade).
I have a wonderful husband who supports my teaching career fully and has attended many school events to volunteer and lend a helping hand. We have been married since 2009 and in 2011 we welcomed our beautiful son into this world.
