As a former classroom teacher, I continue to play a pivotal role in shaping the educational experiences of students in all grades taught over the years. I continue to create positive and engaging learning experiences, fostering intellectual and social development.

I have a integrated approach to teaching that blends my personality and interests with students’ needs and curriculum-appropriate methods. I have consistently tried to tailor my style to student needs and the subject matter taught (Math/Science). I've always incorporated technology in the classrooms seeing the important role they play in today’s classrooms.

I was nominated for "Teacher of the Year" by my peers for two consecutive years for my overall excellence in teaching. I've been recognized by my school/county administration for excellence in teaching Math I've been acknowledged numerous years for demonstrating strong leadership within my classrooms, and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.

I began my academic journey with an undergraduate degree in Finance. This foundational experience equipped me with a strong understanding of financial principles and laid the groundwork for my future endeavors. Driven by a passion for education and a desire to make a meaningful impact, I transitioned from a career in accounting to pursue a Master's in the Art of Teaching. This transformative program provided me with the pedagogical knowledge and instructional skills needed to excel in the field of education. Armed with my newfound expertise, I dedicated the next 13 years of my professional life to teaching at Title 1 schools. My deliberate choice to work in these environments was motivated by a commitment to supporting low-income students, understanding their unique needs, and fostering an educational environment where every student could thrive.
