I have taught middle and high school English Language Arts for the past nine years.
My first six years of teaching were in a super rough middle school. If I paused to catch my thoughts, turned my back to the students, or fell off my game for the slightest moment, the students would descend into madness and misbehavior. I quickly learned that I needed engaging lessons that left little to no room for student interruption. I accomplished this by creating and delivering PowerPoints that were interactive, embedded with video clips and songs, and geared toward student interests. These PowerPoints make teaching seamless; just click through the slides and talk with your students. They will not only lock in to the lesson, but they will also be able to apply their learning to the follow-up worksheets, activities, and projects. These lessons will make you feel like a teaching boss!
