TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught kindergarten for thirteen years.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I use lots of technology, music, movement, and books to engage students in academic content.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Bonnie Chambers Award for Exemplary Beginning Teaching 2005

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

Bachelors of Science in Education with licensure in Early Childhood Education from Shawnee State University in 2002 Masters in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment from Walden University in 2006

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I love to use technology to help students LEARN!!. Many of my files will be PowerPoints that can be used in any primary grade classroom to engage students in content and build their automaticity with basic knowledge and skills!! I will also be adding lots of ready-to-print, ready-to-use activities that are fun, engaging, and aligned with standards. These materials will help your students leave kindergarten saying, "Everything I Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten (and I had fun doing it)!!"
