1-I can persevere with challenging tasks 2-I participate in activities and can tell how they help me as a learner

Students self- assess their abilities in the Core Competency of Communication: I can connect and engage in learning. A 1 star/2 star/3 star rubric is provided with the statements "I can respond to direct questions." and "I am an engaged listener."
Using a 1 star, 2 star, 3 star rubric students self assess the Core Competency of Communication: Explain/recount and reflect on experiences and accomplishments.
There is room for a written comment. Word Doc.
Students use a rubric to reflect on their progress in the Core Competency of Personal and Social Responsibility. Two statements are "I can persevere with challenging tasks" and "I can participate in activities and tell how they support my learning."
My students are busy people outside of school hours, so I don't assign a lot of homework on a day to day basis. There are always a few parents (and students) who desperately want homework. This was a nice compromise. Students can complete as much as

This field trip reflection gives students the opportunity to share their experience with home. Students are encouraged to use prior knowledge, share opinions, and make connections about their experience. A self-evaluation component is included.
