Meghan Tynan

I was a classroom teacher for 9 years (2013-2022). During those years I taught MS English (5 years), MS Theater (6 years), US Theater (2 years), and Kindergarten Music (4 years). I also created student-run Drama and Tech Clubs, and directed multiple productions each year.

I am an energetic and honest teacher - checking in, socio-emotional discussions are at the core of each class, and my students know that an honest question will get a judgement-free, honest answer. I have a mish-mosh of ideologies and pedagogies I've been influenced by: Project-Based Learning and Assessments, The Un-Grading Movement, Standards Based Grading, Teacher's College Reading and Writing Project, Blueprint for Teaching and Learning Theater, NCAS, and I'm sure there are more. I use what makes sense to me and leave what doesn't.

MA in Theater Ed and English Ed from NYU (2013), BA in Theater and English from Muhlenberg College (2011).

I live in Philly with my partner and dog! We both have ADHD! How this page is alive, we'll never know.
