My teaching experience includes all subjects and grade levels second through fourth. outside of the classroom I have helped other teachers with resources and digital formatting for virtual learning to help all students become successful. I have created many virtual tutorials to help teachers and all subjects and grade levels. I also have experience working with small children in foster care helping them through their trauma by attending and implementing techniques from therapy and therapist. I also host and attend a small support group for foster parents.
Don’t stop working until you find something that works for all learners.
While in Lamar consolidated ISD, my class was the top score in the district for two consecutive years for STAAR.
I am very proud to be a university of Houston graduate. My bachelors in education was a huge accomplishment for me. After teaching for a few years I decided to obtain my masters degree at Sam Houston State University. This degree specializes in curriculum and instruction leadership, which is my personal goal and passion.
I currently reside in Cypress, Texas with my husband who is a transplant from Chicago. He coaches and teaches as well. We have a son who is currently one year old and is very silly and energetic. We have previously been foster parents to three little boys. We love them very much but they have been reunified with their families so we do not get to see them very often. I can’t forget our for babies, Haley and Curdie. They are gentle giants and have been an amazing therapy for all children who have come through out home. This year I will be taking the year off to be with my son and a break from the classroom after a pandemic. Although I love the challenge of going virtual, I am very fortunate to be able to stay home this next year and focus on family and new goals and curriculum writing and curriculum coaching. I hope you enjoy the resources that I have created! Please leave your feedback on what you like and what you think could be improved. I am always looking to make resources that help both teachers and students and parents.
