TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Throughout my career as an educator, I have held the esteemed position of Mathematics Curriculum Coordinator at an Experiential Learning Centre in North East India. Over the past 12 years, I have had the privilege of working with various organizations, both governmental and learning foundations, serving as a Master Resource Person and Project Coordinator. My teaching expertise lies in the fields of mathematics and computers, and I have been fortunate to teach a wide range of courses over the past 15 years. These courses include Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Algebra II, PreCalculus, AP Calculus, SAT, Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, and Computer Concepts. My teaching experience spans across different regions of India, providing me with exposure to diverse student populations and educational contexts. One aspect of my teaching experience that sets it apart is my proficiency in virtual instruction and online learning. Through virtual platforms, I have had the opportunity to teach students from various parts of the world, including Australia, Canada, Germany, and the UK. I have worked closely with these international students, assisting them with their mathematics curriculum at different levels. This exposure has enriched my teaching practice by allowing me to incorporate global perspectives and foster cultural understanding within my classrooms. Currently, I am engaged in teaching grades 9-12 students following the CIE curriculum. This curriculum offers a rigorous and internationally recognized framework that ensures students receive a comprehensive education in mathematics. As an educator, my aim is to provide students with a solid foundation in mathematical concepts and develop their critical thinking and problem-solving skills. I strive to create a stimulating and supportive learning environment where students can actively engage with the subject matter and achieve their full potential. Throughout my teaching journey, I have embraced experiential and hands-on learning approaches, leveraging real-world applications and practical examples to enhance student understanding. By incorporating technology and interactive resources, I encourage active participation and promote a deep understanding of mathematical concepts. Continual professional growth and development are integral to my teaching philosophy. I remain committed to staying updated with the latest advancements in educational practices and instructional methodologies. By attending workshops, conferences, and professional development programs, I strive to refine my teaching strategies and create an inclusive and inspiring learning environment for my students. In summary, my teaching experience spans over a decade, during which I have served as a Mathematics Curriculum Coordinator and Master Resource Person/Project Coordinator. I have taught a wide range of math and computer-related subjects, both in traditional and virtual settings, to students from various parts of India and around the world. My goal is to instill a love for mathematics, develop critical thinking skills, and equip students with the tools necessary for their academic and personal success.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I take great pleasure in employing a diverse range of approaches to facilitate learning, encompassing online videos, discovery-based learning, well-organized notes, real-world applications, and enjoyable activities that serve to reinforce the educational process. My Philosophy is to follow CPA Approach in my class [Concrete - Pictorial - Abstract] In pursuit of my objectives, I am committed to keeping students captivated and enthusiastic about their experiences in math and business classes. To accomplish this, I leverage an assortment of tools and activities that cater to different learning preferences, ensuring a dynamic and engaging classroom environment. By presenting information through various mediums, I strive to cater to the unique needs and interests of my students, ultimately fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation for the subject matter. Beyond kindling students' interests, my overarching goal is to instill a comprehensive comprehension of mathematics. It is not solely about teaching them step-by-step procedures or formulas; rather, I am passionate about ensuring they grasp the underlying principles and rationale. By illuminating the "HOW to WOW" behind mathematical concepts, I empower students to develop a more profound insight into the subject, enabling them to apply their knowledge effectively and think critically. In essence, my teaching philosophy revolves around employing an array of pedagogical methods and activities that not only engage and captivate students but also foster a deep understanding of mathematics. By marrying the art of teaching with the science of learning, I aim to create an environment where students not only acquire essential skills but also cultivate a lifelong love for math and business.
