I have worked as an elementary teacher for the past 8 years. I have experience teaching all levels (K-6) but have focused on Grades 3, 4, 5, & 6. I am fortunate to have had the opportunity to teach in both English and French. I have also taught Science, Math, History, Geography and Ethics & Religious Culture. I look forward to sharing some of the resources I have developed over the years with other teachers. Many of my resources are tailored for a French Immersion or Bilingual program, however there are a few English resources too. Enjoy!
My teaching style is very eclectic. I use centres for nearly all subjects (I find this especially useful when correcting homework as it allows me to touch base with all the students and get a better understanding of what they do or do not understand). I also work with themes a lot. I find themes a great way to engage children and provides lots of cross-curricular activity possibilities. I am a huge fan of using the SmartBoard and iPads in my class to make learning more interactive. Edmodo, ClassDojo and Classcraft have become very important resources in my classroom. If you are not familiar with them, look them up on Google! You won't regret it!
