TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been a teacher for nearly two decades, with some time off during those decades to be home with my little munchkins. I'm certified in elementary education (Pre-K through 6th), special education (K through 12th), and literacy (birth through 6th). I have taught in a variety of settings for special education, from pull-out resource room to the lead teacher in a 12:1:1. I have been the lead teacher in general education classes as well. I hope you find some of my stuff helpful!

MY TEACHING STYLE

Artsy and creative! I'm still learning how to make things a bit "prettier" on the computer (as opposed to chart paper), but I can frequently be heard talking about making "pretty little pictures." I think it stems from being a visual learner, in addition to always thinking of ways to help students see and learn different concepts. My thinking is often "out of the box," but it gets kids learning, so that's fine with me!
