I have 10 children whom I have always homeschooled. They are ages 3-19 currently, with the 2 oldest attending universities (although they have moved back home doing online school during COVID.) I have always created my own curriculum and lesson plans where I can cater to each child's interest and learning style as well as not spend a lot of money. I have done this since my oldest was 3 and plan to continue until my baby graduates from high school.

I love to get textbooks and then create daily lesson plans from those, spending longer on topics near to our heart and shorter on ones that don't mean as much. I love to coordinate topics in our main subject (history or science) with music, art, cooking, etc. Every summer I plan out every single subject for every child for every single day of the school year. Then during the school year every morning I look on my chart to see which pages we're supposed to be reading or which activities we're supposed to be doing and there's no scrambling or last minute lesson planning. I have a good knack for knowing what is a reasonable amount of work for each day so we've always been able to stay right on schedule.

I have a Bachelor's degree in Family Science with an emphasis in Home and Family. It has come in very handy raising ten children and homeschooling them!

I know my stuff isn't as fancy as others'; I'm a very simple, efficient person. But I put a lot of thought and effort into planning each school day. I love teaching out of books and using my hand written notes. Creating them and selling them on a computer is hard for me but I'm doing it to earn money to help support my family.
