After earning my B.S. from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in Urban Education, I made my way to our Nation’s Capital in 2009 to teach sixth grade Earth Science for four years where I also earned my M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction from The George Washington University. I've since built two STEM Labs/Makerspace (middle school and elementary school).
“Today, because knowledge is available on every Internet-connected device, what you know matters far less than what you can do with what you know. The capacity to innovate — the ability to solve problems creatively or bring new possibilities to life — and skills like critical thinking, communication and collaboration are far more important than academic knowledge." —Tony Wagner
