I have been teaching General Science and Biology to 11-18 year-olds for 20 years, 13 years as a Subject Leader for Biology and 3 years as a Coordinator of Science for 11-13 year-olds.
I love to talk about science [the biological sciences, in particular] and listen to what my students have to say about this vast and constantly developing subject. My lessons are therefore all about promoting discussions and engaging students in such a way that they can freely express their knowledge, attitudes and opinions, whilst feeling able to challenge the ideas and concepts they are taught.
