I am an enrichment kindergarten aide turned assistant track & field coach turned Introduction to Public Speaking college instructor turned Pre-K12 paraprofessional turned second grade bilingual (Spanish) teacher turned third grade reading, reading & math STAAR intervention, spelling, science, and writing teacher!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I am assertive to & strict with my students, but I respect & validate them. I start off the year with blank walls and ONLY decorate them with our English-Language Arts/Reading anchor charts so that we can be surrounded with correct examples of writing. I raffle off our morning messages, student-generated spelling lists, academic word walls, and anchor charts daily, weekly, monthly, and at the end of every semester so that the students can extend our print-rich environment into their home.
