TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Hi! My name is Kelli and I am a certified English teacher. I have taught English Language Arts for six years (finishing up my 7th year currently!) in 7th, 8th, and 9th grade. I have taught ESL students, students with dyslexia and ADHD, Pre-AP, G/T, and advanced students, and everything in between! I am passionate about connecting with students and helping them learn in a way that works best for them as individuals. I have taught students in so many areas of ELA- reading comprehension, basic school skills (time management, organization, etc.), vocabulary recognition, writing abilities, and so much more. I have experienced so many different learning styles in my career so far. I am certified in ESL and Pre-AP/advanced, as well as G/T and have done several professional development courses on differentiation, writing styles, STAAR preparation, and much more. I studied English in college and I am passionate about the subject and my students!
