TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Since graduating from Arkansas State University in 2012, Ms. Cole has taught 6th grade mathematics in an urban and impoverished school and 8th grade English/Literacy in a rural school district. Working with such vastly different children has helped her to develop differentiation techniques and to design lessons that are engaging for different groups of students. Ms. Cole has taught adult education classes over biblical creation accounts through her local Episcopal church.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Ms. Cole strives to be a "facilitator of learning" rather than the traditional lecture oriented teacher. Although some skills lend themselves better to lecture based instruction, Ms. Cole opts for Common Core aligned creative projects whenever possible!

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

-Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society (member since 2012) -Honors Graduate from Arkansas State University -Chancellor's List (all semesters) -Presented on Dystopian Literature at the Arkansas Curriculum Conference -Graduated Magna Cum Laude

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

Ms. Cole graduated from Arkansas State University in December of 2012 with a bachelor's in Middle Level Education and a minor in General History.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

Ms. Cole spends her free time at student sporting events and trying to catch up on the latest episodes of Dr. Who.
