MY TEACHING STYLE

I like to incorporate some lecture, some independent work and some group work within each unit. Our pace is fast in order to teach all the standards and keep students engaged. I am a big fan of incorporating reading and writing in the content area. I mix reading assignments, videos, class discussions and digital technology to deliver content so that students get it in various formats.

I was a stay-at-home mom until all my kids were in school full-time. I started teaching middle school in my own classroom when my oldest was in 7th grade and moved to the high school with my youngest. As a new "empty nester" I'm looking forward to creating more content and traveling!
