TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am currently an Instructional Content Facilitator and Literacy specialist. I have taught in a classroom for over 8 years and love my new position working with students and teachers.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I love being creative and working with small groups. I have always taught at Title One Schools and love the challenge and dedication of my students!

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Have worked on many committees and groups to help develop common core strategies for my County. I have been a collaborator on several published books as well as being featured on websites and resource pages focusing on my lessons.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I have always wanted to be a teacher. My mother was a teacher assistant while I was in Elementary School, and I was always "That Kid" who finished early and would "wander" the room trying to help everyone else...although at the time it was not appreciated. I started my college career at Coastal Carolina University where I was a cheerleader, then headed to UNC-Charlotte where I got my undergrad in Elementary Education and Master's Degree in Literacy

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I have been married for almost 9 years to my wonderful husband Andrew. We have a beautiful daughter Lilly Drew (6), a son Landry (3) and a baby girl Finleigh (1)
