I am currently a Grade 4/5 teacher residing in British Columbia, Canada. I am a relatively new teacher in my 6th year of teaching. I have taught Grade 5 for three years, Grade 4/5 for three years, and had a brief stint in Grade 7 before that. All this experience has been in inner-city schools, where my heart truly lies!
I believe that environment plays a key role in learning, and therefore I set up my classroom for the best possible learning outcomes. We have flexible seating and frequent discussions and group collaborations, and I also enjoy playing off of student's creativity and giving open-ended projects.
Yet to be added
I have a Bachelors of Arts degree in Archaeology, a Bachelor of Education with a focus on Curriculum and Instruction, and a Graduate Certificate in Special Education. I also have a Masters Degree in Elementary Education.
When I'm not teaching, I love cooking, hiking, and working on my own art projects.
